Lasting Echoes - New Letterpress Chapbook Series
Share
We’re thrilled to introduce Lasting Echoes — a new letterpress chapbook series celebrating short stories that endure. These works of fiction, despite their brevity, carry the weight and resonance of great novels. Our mission is to spotlight literary gems that continue to speak profoundly to the human condition. Often overshadowed in the modern canon, these stories remain essential for their moral clarity, emotional force, and artistic vision.
The series opens with three timeless selections:
-
The Doll’s House by Katherine Mansfield, a subtle and quietly devastating look at class and childhood
-
An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge by Ambrose Bierce, a tale that bends time and perception against the backdrop of war
-
Gusev by Anton Chekhov, a dreamlike meditation on mortality, exile, and the unknowable depths of human feeling.
Each chapbook is printed letterpress on luxurious Cotton Lettra paper — crafted to be as lasting and beautiful as the stories themselves. Editions will be limited to 100 unnumbered copies each and will be available for individual purchase or as a complete set at a discounted price. More information on how to secure a copy will be coming soon.
We are especially proud to collaborate with three newly graduated artists from Southern Utah University — Aubree Hoffman, Colin Estrada, and Blair Allen — each of whom has created original artwork to accompany these editions. By inviting fresh artistic voices into the fold, we aim to diversify the visual language of the series and provide meaningful early support to emerging talent. In addition to their commission, each artist will receive a fair and supportive share of sales from their respective edition.
Here is a look at a piece of art from each chapbook.
Lasting Echoes is expected to open for order in Fall 2025.
These are stories that deserve to be held, reread, and remembered — quiet echoes from the past that still speak powerfully to the present.
