Shipping & Returns Policies
International Shipping Policy
Printed books are currently exempt from international tariffs. However, some shipping services require a brokerage fee to move packages through customs. Also, some countries charge their own separate fee. These fees, if any, vary by country and may change from week to week. As we are unable to keep track of the fluctuating fees across various countries, these fees are not included in the shipping charge and the buyer is responsible.
I'm sorry for the potential charges from various governments. Packages left at customs and returned to us will not be refunded the shipping charge or cost of purchase. If this were to happen, we will contact you regarding how to ship your book to you again.

Damaged or Defective
We are happy to fix any books that arrive damaged or defective. You will have seven days to contact us from the delivery confirmation. We do not accept returns after seven days.
Please keep in mind that each of these books is made by hand and minor imperfections are part of what makes each handmade book unique. At the same time, we want you to be happy with each book you receive from our Press. Please send us pictures of the damage or defect before returning it to be fixed.

Cancellations
As we are a small press, we depend on preorder funding to fulfill orders. In view of this, we do not accept cancellations for preordered books. Why? Simply put, costs for each edition and labor for each copy begin early on, even months before books are shipped. Returning a preorder not only takes away profit, but it also actually costs us money.
We understand that there is a time period between the time you preorder a book and the time you hold it in your hands. Circumstances can change over the course of that time. However, our staying in business requires that we can depend on the funds we have on hand through preorders. Some larger presses have tens-of-thousands or hundreds-of-thousands of dollars in revenue in a single year. We simply do not.
We hope to move to a model in the future wherein all books are finished before going up for sale. When we get to that point, it will make preorder cancellations irrelevant. In the meantime, thank you for your support as we work toward that goal.

Returned Packages
Please check carefully that the address entered at the time of your order is correct. If you have a change of address after making a preorder, feel free to email us with the update.
If your package is returned to us due to an incorrect shipping address, we will contact you by email. Once we have received an updated shipping address, an invoice for the corrected shipping label will be sent to you. After receiving payment, we will ship the package to the updated address.
